Felicia will help you enjoy your business again

Making a living while doing the thing you love, is a dream for many people. Realizing this by starting your own company, is a dream coming true. The aspect which often isn’t part of this dream, is the administration. Paperwork, tax rules and all kinds of red tape create a real hassle in keeping your buzz.

That’s where Felicia comes in.

‘Small businesses struggle the most’

Felicia made the conscious choice to step into the field of small and medium-sized businesses. She’d been working for huge companies, but noticed small businesses are struggling the most: the sole traders with a great passion for their work, but who get lost in red tape. “Little changes can influence their business a lot”, Felicia explains about her clients. “An illness, a family member who needs you or just business not going well for a while, can have an enormous and long term impact.”

‘I’m here to coach and advise’

For many business owners it’s a big step to contact me for help”, Felicia explains. “Taxes, reminders and fines sometimes pile up.” Felicia understands this and can recognize a problem or wrong data within moments. Together with her clients she finds a suitable solution. “I’ve studied for this, but what I love about my job isn’t just numbers and paperwork, it’s the chance to actually help people. I’m not just an accountant, I’m there to coach and advise: to take away the worries.”

Some advice for these difficult times. Stay safe!

1.Your staff and hired freelancers are the most important fixed costs you have as an entrepreneur. Make those fixed costs your priority # 1.

2. Make use of the arrangements that the banks and tax authorities have offered you. Postpone loan and mortgage payments by three months. Slide your payments of Sales Tax, Payroll Tax and Social Security Contributions forward in time.

3. If possible, spread the remaining cash in the company over three months. Make a forecast. Budget your expenses!
4. If you are unable to continue your business, I would advise you to rather put the company on idle for a while rather than declare a bankruptcy. In the event of bankruptcy, the assets that the company still has are sold. If not active, you are free to start over when things have grown better.

5. Help each other as MKB entrepreneurs of Curacao. Pay all local invoices as much as possible. Include these invoices, if possible, in your budget.

  • That past 10 years have gone fast. Masha Pabien! After working with you for a few years now, I can say that I am very happy with your work and service. As an entrepreneur, you are in control, you always try to offer help and you have your documentation in order. I always have found administration a puzzle and because you help me with this I can quietly do my own work. Thanks again for everything and good luck for the next decade.

  • Business in control has been doing my administration, declarations and annual accounts to full satisfaction for years. For me Felicia van Loon is an expert, communicative and level-headed professional who is always willing to think along, advise and explain accounting matters that I do not always understand.

  • Business in Control is a small but great company. I have always had close contact with the director / owner Felicia van Loon. Annual figures were always earlier than expected, nothing is too much for her. With great pleasure I have always worked with Felicia. I therefore congratulate her on her 10th anniversary and hope that the next 10 years will be even more successful.

  • What I would like to say is that a, for me, totally incomprehensible and uninteresting thing as administration becomes largely understandable due to the personal touch of Business in Control, and indirectly it gives me more fun to be an entrepreneur.

    Manuela Hak, owner of Malpertuus
  • Business in Control offers a personal touch. Business in Control is reliable. Business in Control is hands on.
